The next few days, Clearwater to 75 to 81 to Boone to Richmond to 81 to 78 to 287 to 95 to Providence. Mountains. MOUNTAINS. Mountains and Marcus Aurelius and maps. Many maps. Home to settling in and grocery shopping and my 'nervous wreckage' tattoo and a root canal the next day. Eventually back to work to pay for all of this. And rent for September. Damnit. Can't fucking wait to be able to ride again. But this is going to be one epic getting out of the house. Too bad I'll be trapped in a car. Shit. Better than walking, especially in my condition. SO EXCITED, I CAN HARDLY EVEN FOCUS ENOUGH TO PACK. More or less. As best as I can guesstimate on this machine. I need maps and highlighters. 4 AEIOU

Namely: Ingrown fingernail Did 4 hours of record label work last night and didn't get it all done $80 at the Post Office The Vietnamese sub shop I was stoked on trying wasn't open Boss being in Excel file I needed to edit all afternoon so I couldn't work on the project I need to load into a database and have 100%'d by tomorrow at close Painting fumes at work Burnt popcorn fumes at home Distance Buuuut, Toni and Simone might be around this weekend. When I drink I hear things that aren't really there, I feel things when I shouldn't really care. When I drink I spend the next morning in a haze, but we only get so many days. Now I have one less. It's the only way to keep that last bit of sanity. Maybe I don't have to be good but I can try to be at least a little better than I've been so far. AEIOU

[17 Aug 2008|11:18pm] oh_velveteen I've been to Alaska more times than I remember, and I still am completely awestruck at how amazing these landscapes are. My dad grew up there, his friends are like family -- it's practically a second summer home. A very far away one, but it's always going to be a part of me. Cheesetown, I know. More later. ( it is terribly good to carry water and chop wood, streaked with soot, heavy booted and wild-eyed ) 8 AEIOU

nice lazy weekend [17 Aug 2008|10:20pm] bestiaries [ mood | dorky ] friday rowboat and i went to see star wars: the clone wars at the ipic, and even though there was not a single thing good about that movie, the popcorn was delicious and the whole ipic experience was lovely. big cushy seats! then we went to see the gilby & george thing at the milwaukee art museum and ate a lot of cheese. saturday we played with a kitten and grilled tasties, then watched a movie that was even worse than the one from friday, rob zombie's halloween. i'm not sure why we thought that this would be a good idea. and then today we watched 1.5 episodes of the marvelous misadventures of flapjack, had brunch and then we slayed diathorus the seeker, killed some raptors, and slaughtered some drywhisker assholes. Birf day. [17 Aug 2008|07:37pm] one800higgins Thank you to everyone who came over and got obliterated with me. It was a good time watching big women lifting weights in HD. I can't believe there were still people upstairs hanging out and drinking when I went to bed at 4:30am. I had a great birthday party, and I'm still woozy (in a good way) right now at 8pm. Also, thank you to Laura Tiny for hijacking my laptop and posting to my LJ and commenting on a bunch of Facebook profiles. I will return the favor sometime. I got my first roll of fisheye film developed. I learned a couple things in the process... (1) Rite Aid photos look like poop; (2) Rite Aid tries to keep the negatives when they mess up your film; (3) my camera has a REALLY bright flash, which I just covered in Elmer's glue to defuse it; (4) fisheye photos are better really close up. 11 AEIOU

Symmetry... [16 Aug 2008|01:59am] one800higgins I seriously am way too anal about symmetry... I measured out my wall so everything was perfectly centered. Moved my DVDs downstairs so that it was more balanced. I rented a Rug Doctor that was busted tonight. The smell of dog piss is really annoying me and I want to get rid of it ASAP now that Sierra is pretty much completely house broken. I wanted to do so before my birthday, but that won't happen now. I am never going to want to leave my room after I get a couch in here. Plus I get my HD cable box tomorrow. The only thing that will make it better is a coffee table, surround sound, and a Playstation 3. I've been itching to watch Bluray content on this TV. I finally got to see my first example of REAL HD today when I learned that HD channels have decimals in them and I found the Olympics in 1080i. So good. I hope people feel welcome to hang out in my room and chill out with me more often! Haha. Birthday party tonight! Birthday tomorrow! Join us for $3 margaritas at Chili's before the party. ZING! i win!!! sike. so..to l decided that laying low at the house and getting into some games i bought for the Wii a month or two ago and also, andy acquired a xbox 360 so that has also been sucking the life out of me. not to mention that Soul Caliber 4 has come out and its the SIIIIIIIIIIIICKest fighting game out there right now, in my opinion.
